GUILT
by Pat M.
Kuras
She would
ask me
if it was
okay
to add
brandy
to her
ice cream.
Maple
walnut,
in the
little blue bowl,
part of
the set
we bought
in Chinatown.
Brandy as
ice cream syrup.
Thirty
years later,
she still
won't
acknowledge
her alcoholism.
