Hold a candle up to your life.
Examine it in the soft glow.
Too often we’ll put on high beams
To glare at ourselves, or at others.
Truth, however, reveals itself in the low flame,
Always keeping things easy to see.
It says: “The flaws I would point
out in you
Have a lot more to say about me.”
