The Tongue

by Sheena Singh

When
truth is
twisted
without
elegance,
When
envy makes
sharp cuts
without
blood loss,
When
shaky wisdom
crumble
without
fear of losing;
When
shallow conscience
spits venom
without
respect of humanity;
My horizon
split..
I stand
speechless;
my thoughts
shattered
by the power
of “The Tongue!”
