The
Tight Possible
by Pamela Nocerino
If I felt worthy
of the love
I offer others,
what would
tick, spin,
loosen, or cling?
The long songs
of Sundays
and midnights
would hum
in what key?
I drum
evergreen needles
like jazz brushes
against the tight
possible
and try.
