BE SILENT, MY SPEAR!

by Alisa Velaj

Be silent, my spear,
and watch how, over nights,
rocks become illuminating stars.
Amazing – their journey
away from the home yard...
Watch how, over days, these same stars are carried along
and dropped all around, cold and colorless.
Their sharp nose-dive to the heart of the earth
reconceives despondent, dumb suns.
Be silent, my spear;
even farther beyond silence, silent you stay,
with the mystery of illumination
as a testament!
