Goodbye to Matt Paust with endless gratitude

As many of us know, for the past several years Matt Paust read and commented here or on Facebook on every single woman's voice posted in this blog, a bit more sporadically towards the end. Here is link to an obituary in his own words: https://socialistjazz.blogspot.com/2021/09/mathew-paust-rip.html. I trust he will continue to hear our voices and our gratitude and remembrance and love wherever he is now.

Goodbye Matt. Your generous, quick, brilliant spirit remains.

  3. He really read each poem so carefully. He had kind words for my poem earlier this year, that meant a lot to me. Goodbye Matt; thank you and RIP.

  4. I am so sorry to hear this. I have been sort of absent myself (mental health rather than physical) so had not noticed his absence. I was keenly aware of him when I was present though as he unfailingly responded in a meaningful, kind, supportive way. I always appreciated what he wrote although now I wish I had told him so. RIP, Matt.

  5. A sad day reading this. He was indeed a cheerleader for women's voices. I often wondered about him, seeing his commments on my work and on other poets' here. Rest in peace, dear friend.
