INCIDENCE

by Alisa Velaj

-1-

Is darkness blasphemy or is blasphemy darkness, my Lord?
The slumberman nigh verdures is long past wake-up time.
The Dusk's Monk lights anew a last candle amid the woods.
The slumberman, blind to verdures,
feels the candle warmth through the hollow and stays mum...

-2-

The dead man nigh autumn was covered by lunar leaves
and the pale light dripping from the sleepy woods.
Someone sings a tune of longing,
forsaken by the wind amid bare branches.
A smell of oblivion among trees
and a decay of confessions untold beyond life.

Amen!
