God in the Air
by Kappa Waugh
God’s presence is like a skunk.
Beautiful in grace she moves
on the dark Earth.
Sometimes the faintest trace
reaches you. Nose flares, tests,
tastes the wind. Is she really there?
Then the scent is overwhelming.
How could you ever doubt
the presence of skunk?
Amusing, accurate analogy, if a smidgen shy of canonical. :D
